| 2007-07-24 |
| Virtual Hideout Approved | Virtual Hideout | The installation of the drives was a snap - literally - with the use of the tool-less brackets, and once everything was installed and the system powered up, I was surprised at how quiet eight fans could be. The four panel fans and two rear fans could barely be heard unless you had your head up next to them, and the air they pushed would definitely keep a system cool. The front intake fan and 80mm top panel fan were also extremely quiet. | 2007-05-17 |
| Seal of Approval | DVhardware.net | "The NZXT Zero case looks awesome and provides superb air cooling capabilities. The seven 120mm fans and one 80mm fan provide lots of airflow and are really quiet." | 2007-03-10 |
| N/A | Madshrimps.be | "The ZERO is a diamond in the rough, its noiseless operation is the best I've had the pleasure of not hearing, its design is sophisticated and it does just about everything cases costing much more do, in fact in the cooling department it bests much of the competition." | 2007-03-07 |
| Highly Recommended | Bigbruin | "It's very quiet, very attractive, highly functional, well designed and built. While this may be my 1st experience with NZXT I can guarantee you it won't be my last. " | 2007-02-16 |
| Great Product | Tweaknews | "The new Zero case from NZXT has a lot to recommend it. It's a cooling monster without the growls and roars you'd expect from eight case fans. It has a sleek, classic look that doesn't appear to have been inspired by an Anime episode. The Zero will hold plenty of drives and the tool-free features are well designed and executed. The aluminum and plastic construction keep the weight down without sacrificing sturdiness." | 2007-02-16 |
| 5 out of 5 Stars | Tweak News | "The Zero is a big, aluminum chassis with lots of fans and a sleek, stylish look to boot. There are a few appearance features that bring a bit of bling to the dance, as well, so let's get after it." | 2007-02-12 |
| 8/10, Recommended | Thinkcomputers.org | "The NZXT Zero is the case many of us have been waiting for; it combines style, functionality, practicality all in one. This case also breaks the mold by providing a lot of room for hardware and great cooling without weighting as much as a small car. The tool-less drive system is also a great addition for enthusiasts who are constantly changing their hardware configurations, and lastly the high gloss paint job on this case will definitely make your LAN Party buddies jealous." | 2007-01-05 |
| OCIA Approved | OCIA.net | "Overall, I found the NZXT Zero to be an excellent case, inside and out. Starting with the exterior, the high gloss paint contrasts nicely with the brushed aluminum on the front bezel. Speaking of aluminum, the entire case is crafted from aluminum, making for a lightweight (and easily moddable) chassis. The Zero makes use of sleek and subtle lines, a change that has been noted in the most recent NZXT offerings. I really like the placement of the front USB/Audio/Firewire ports, especially with my desk setup. The four side panel 120mm intake fans definitely make a statement and have been the subject of conversation with more than a few of my friends that have seen the case in action." | 2006-12-26 |
| n/a | Overclockersclub | "This is an absolutely beautiful case to those who don’t want something flashy! The glossy paint was a definite plus, you can practically use it as a mirror. The overall construction was superb, especially the front panel, which is the sturdiest that I’ve seen to date.Of course, the cooling and noise was just awesome." | 2006-12-20 |
| 8/10 Approved | Phoronix | The Zero chassis proves that NZXT cannot only deliver a great looking case but they can also produce a quiet yet extremely well cooled chassis. Having seven 120mm fans and one 80mm fan, we were expecting the case to be obnoxiously loud, but we were defenently wrong once the NZXT Zero was powered up. With dual and quad core processors and dual GPU configurations becoming popular, water-cooling is needed or a great deal of air-cooling. The NZXT Zero does offer a great deal of room if you prefer to water cool your system to be water-cooled. | 2006-11-22 |
| Seal of Approval | Bjorn3d | "This is a really nice case from NZXT for their attempt to enter into the enthusiasts world, I cannot wait and see what NZXT can bring to the market with their next generation of enthusiasts' cases." | 2006-11-07 |
| 87% | Gameworld Network | "The NZXT Zero definitely makes a strong case for purchase. Besides the issue with the 8 cm fan, installation was pretty simple, there’s plenty of room add new components or move around existing ones and the case runs quietly with plenty of cooling potential. The small touches like the blue LEDs on the front panel and the temperature sensor-viewing panel are great additions. If you’re looking for an attractive new computer case to house your powerful new overclocking rig, give the Zero a look. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed." | 2006-10-31 |
| OC Cafe Recommended | OC Cafe | "NZXT brings a lot to the table with the Zero. The Aluminum polished chassis radiates elegance. The smoked front panel and intake grill add enough spice to draw the eye, but will fit in just about any room. The roomy interior provides more than enough work space, and there's enough drive space for the enthusiast as well as the casual user. The seven installed 120mm fans provide plenty of airflow through the case while barely making a sound." | 2006-10-31 |
| 8.5/10 | PCApex | "At first glance, I thought the MSRP price tag of $150 was a bit on the pricey side. After playing with this case for a couple of weeks, I have to say it is worth every penny. Aesthetically speaking, this case very appealing; Functionally, this is a gamer’s dream case. The designer of this case definitely had SLI / CrossFire Setups in mind with it's impressive amount of air cooling mounts. The quality and styling of this case gives Lian Li and Silverstone a run for their money! The exceptional quality, construction and features of this case warrants a 8.5 out of 10 rating as well as the PC Apex Recommended Award!" | 0000-00-00 |
