HWzone "Lexa's NZXT case we've reviewed today is one of the more interesting PC cases we've ever seen. Thanks to an impressive exterior design, Lexa's thought of the gamers' needs and an interior design that demonstrates high quality construction, all we are left to do is enjoy the beautiful blue aura spread by the NZXT during its operation." 2007-10-12
5 out of 5 stars JIVEMagazine "If you are looking for a lightweight case that won’t you make give up the aesthetics of other high end gaming cases, then the NZXT Lexa is the way to go. Designed for those who move their computer to go to LAN parties, this case provides all the necessary components to have a great gaming computer without all the weight." 2007-04-28
8/10 Gameworld Network "Once you get past the installation, the Lexa, once you turn things on, the Lexa really shines. First, there’s the part where the case literally does shine: ice blue LEDs light up the front of the case and two of the case fans, giving the Lexa an unearthly, sci-fi glow that looks really cool." 2006-10-16
VIA Arena "All up the NZXT LEXA Classic case is a pleasure to work on. It's light and easy to maneuver and it has all of the basic features you'd expect in a modern PC case. The Vista test PC I built in it will be subjected to a lot of testing and swapping of hardware so it's just as well. It also includes more than adequate cooling to cope with the heat of high end components. The extra bonuses are the carry straps, the in-built blue lighting and thermal monitoring. A quick search for pricing found one of these beauties going for as little as USD$104.99 at xPCGear.com. That really is great value." 2006-10-06
Kickass Award 3D Gameman "Both the Lexa and Apollo cases look great. The Lexa is an all aluminum case with a few plastic parts, and it is extremely light. It weights in at only 13lbs! It has a tool-less design, a large window, & lots of fans and drive bays. This case even comes with a strong case carry harness. The Apollo case is an all steel case, and while it has lots of features, it's not in the same league as the Lexa. The Apollo does have most of the right ingredients for a great product and it's affordable. 2006-07-25
8/10 Phoronix "The Lexa is the perfect chassis for continuing the success of the NZXT Classic Series, which was started by the inception of the Trinity." 2006-06-08
Editor's Choice Overclocker Cafe "This is the first case from NZXT that I have had my hands on and it did not disappoint me. I would be hard pressed to say that there was anything wrong with the case that would prevent me from spending my money on it. With the Lexa, they have introduced a case that is very stylish and with a look that is unique enough that even from a profile view you would know what it is. NZXT has successfully incorporated many simple and effective designs in this case from the tool free drive bays to the low noise fans to the cable management cage on the rear. This is by far the lightest case that I have reviewed and yet it is remarkably sturdy in it's design. Weighing in at 12lbs (bare), the Lexa will make LAN traveling much easier. And to aid in that, the included case bag is perfect to help get you there." 2006-04-13
N/A Overclockersclub "This is an amazing case, at first I was skeptical about it being a premod but the NZXT Lexa will rival all other top of the line cases out there. From its light aluminum chassis to its screwless rails the Lexa is a case for the beginner to the Geek. Every part spells quality and efficiency. I have used other cases, which claim to have screwless design but ended having to screw the rail holders on to the component to slide it into the rails. Another thing I couldn't get over was how quiet the case is, with three 120mm fans and an 80mm blowhole fan you would think it would sound like a jet engine. This is not the case, other cases that I have owned were so loud, I needed to shut them off at night just to sleep, the noise was outrageous. Weather this is due to the 1100-RPM low noise fans or not you cannot hear it from five feet away. Some people might be a little upset that the LED display is only for temperature display and not a fan controller but with this case the preinstalled temperature probes is all you need, the case runs cool and silent. NZXT's design team and testers must have put many hours developing this product; it is truly a Mid Tower Case that sets the bar." 2006-04-12
N/A PC Perspective "With a selling price of about $130. (US) the Lexa should not be considered pricey, even without a power supply, because of its aluminum chassis and incredible design." 2006-04-07
8/10 Modthebox "NZXT has added yet another unique product which combines functionality balanced with nice aesthetics. The black exterior of the Lexa Aluminum Mid-Tower Case is beautiful and is highlighted with aluminum and silver trim accents on the side panels and front bezel. Consumers will appreciate all the value added stock options that come with this case which includes the tool-less key entry, three 120mm cooling fans, 80mm top exhaust fan, drive rail system, light weight aluminum construction, removable fan filters, LAN carrying harness and LCD thermal temperature display." 2006-03-10
Editor's Choice Hardware-Review "This case is without a doubt an eye catcher. While at the LAN party this weekend, several people were interested in it and some actually thought I made it myself as they'd never seen anything like it before. I'm good with tools, but I'm too lazy to create anything like this. =)The case easily lives up to NZXT's claims and then some. It is now the case I am using on a daily basis, and will continue to use until I can find something considerably better, which is going to be hard to do. Even with my absolute hatred for the screw-less card holder, I'm going to give the NZXT Lexa Classic Series ATX case a 9.5/10, the Hardware-Review.net's Seal of Approval, and a well deserved Editor's Choice Award." 2006-02-16
90% Tom's Hardware "With its Lexa case NZXT demonstrates that it's possible for a single case to serve the needs of multiple target markets. Its well-executed design enables this midi-tower to work equally well in the office and as a modding platform. The large side window offers lots of room and opportunity for case modders and hardware enthusiasts to express their individuality, and to illuminate the fruit of their efforts with lighted fans. Its carrying strap also makes this lightweight case easy to transport to the next LAN party. The workmanship on the Lexa is exceptional. All edges inside the case are beveled or rounded off. This eliminates the possibility of cuts and scrapes when installing hardware components. Internal arrangement of components inside the case is also well executed, thanks in large part to the hard drive cage, which swivels 90 degrees to offer easy access when removing or installing drives..." 2006-02-16
Editor's Choice TipMonkies "The Lexa case was well thought about and designed by the people at NZXT. While NZXT is a smaller case company this case, along with future case of excellent design should keep NZXT in the news and on top of the market for innovative designs. Having a lightweight aluminum is one thing, but adding that with all the features and accessories that the Lexa offers makes this one premium case. While there was one thing that I wanted to do in this review I could cause of the lake of equipment. I wanted to take the test the output of the sound the fans put out so everyone would know how silent it really is. This doesn’t take away from the review as I was pleased enough with everything. Some people might not like the fact that a bottom mounted fan wasn’t included in the case, but I don’t really see that as a factor for deciding to purchase the case for yourself." 2006-02-15
Editor's choice 9/10 Techgage "From the moment I pulled this case out of it's box, I was impressed. It's not too often that you can use a case that continually impresses you as time goes on. But every time I take a close look at the case, I end up finding something new, which is great in itself. It wasn't until this review was almost finished being written that I found out about the fan behind the HDD drive bay! Certainly, a lot of work has gone into this case; kudos to the designer. For a case like this to come from a relative newcomer is amazing. They apparently listen to their clients and implement what's best. NZXT builds cases that they'd want to use also, which helps aide in the design." 2006-02-15
N/A XYZComputing "In my opinion NZXT has once again has done a good job of pushing its limits and introducing more innovative designs in their cases. They have produced a case that is more visually appealing for those users who prefer sleek and simple designs." 2006-02-02
9.5 Overclocker recommended Club Overclocker "Packed with features like near tool-less setup and an integrated temperature monitor, this case could look like any high-end case and still get a recommend. But, at a retail price of $179, you will need to find the unique look appealing because a lot of high-end cases will be in the same budget. The fact that it looks so unlike a typical case makes the Lexa a true head turner. NZXT sure knows how to bring on the bling." 2006-02-02
Xtreme Innovation 9/10 XtremeComputing "Considering all the above, I believe that the Lexa certainly deserves a 9.5 out of 10 score and our Xtreme Innovation award. You want a case that looks nice and different at the same time, not very large but perfectly functional for everyone while it won't cost you a fortune? NZXT just provided you with the answer to your calls and Lexa is the name." 2006-02-02
9/10 Dvhardware "Overall the Lexa is a great mid tower case. The appearance and finish is beautiful and the lighting really sets it off. I think it has a few minor flaws that should be reworked for a case that costs this much. My complaints really come down to the fact that there is no removable mother board tray and that really annoying back piece. Other than that I think that NZXT is really putting out a great product. While I whole heartedly recommend this case to anyone who wants a classy look for their computer, power users will want to look elsewhere." 2006-02-02
OCIA's Seal of Approval OCIA.NET "Lexa's aesthetics look like something that would fit your style, you're in luck as this case has more than just looks going for it. The all-aluminum chassis makes for a light-weight system, and should you decide to do some modding, we all know that aluminum is very easy to cut." 2005-12-30
10/10 Kick Ass Tech Rank " So whats our final opinion on the LEXA? What can we say wrong about this product? Absolutely nothing, thats what! The LEXA proves itself as this years headliner for computer cases. Its asethetics are are unparallel, its cooling performance unrivaled. Its ability to look and perform great as a gaming pc and as a Media Center make this our #1 choice for any system configuration! Whether your in the market to build a gaming PC or a Media Center, the LEXA gives you absolute freedom to explore any computer set up your heart desires. " 2005-12-30
Editor's Choice Guru 3D "From every angle this product is looking good: design, cooling, ease of use, functionality, the temperature monitor . No I can rant on for pages if needed but let's just wrap it up. NZXT has made by far the best case to date by releasing the Lexa. I'm confident that Lexa will sell extremely well and it deserves every little bit of credit that I am writing about it, this is 100% well deserved. My congratulation to NZXT, they've outdone themselves again. And the Lexa, well this is the most impressive case we have seen to date and believe me when I say we tested quite a few." 2005-12-30
Editor's Choice Pro-Clockers "I would like to start off my conclusion by saying that the Lexa is a awesome looking case. I am a true lover of classy looking cases than of the themed ones. And that is what the Lexa is 'Classy'. The case does not have alot of things going on, no crazy graphics or such. Just an usually curvature and great cooling. The silver and black theme make it suitable for any environment. NZXT once again bought a great new design to the market and I am sure you will see some copycats." 2005-12-30
N/A Madshrimps " So next time you go shopping around for your “BMW” or “Mercedes” enclosure you might want to venture over the Lexa and who knows… you might like it. " 2005-12-30
