4.5/5 Dragon Steel Mods “So far I have tested three NZXT cases and each one has been as good as the last. The Guardian 921 is a solidly built, sleek looking well designed case with the gamer in mind. Although it is heavy and not one you will one to drag to LAN parties, it is a case that will make your gaming rig stand out.” 2009-11-21
9/10 Test Freaks The NZXT Guardian 921 PC case is well made case that’s chock full of features most people can appreciate. The included temperature monitoring system can be useful is letting you know what’s going on with your system, and the tool-less bays make installation that much easier for you, even though there’s plenty of room in here to work. 2009-06-12
4.5 Club Overclocker The same quality of construction we have come to expect from NZXT coupled with the simple but functional temperature monitor make the 921 a top contender in the sub $80 range. The internal design of the 921 is consistent with most NZXT cases. Even with the side fan removed the the two remaining fans had no trouble moving air across the components. 2009-05-31
Great Product Tweak News I'd consider the 921 a very good value, particularly if you like the look and features and want a door on your case. You're unlikely to find a better case for the money (in this class, anyway) and the 921 does have a very distinctive look and some nice features. 2009-05-07
Bjorn3d.com seal of approval Bjorn3d.com This chassis provides looks, quality, and performance all-in-one, and is bound not to disappoint you! The NZXT Guardian 921 case is the perfect case for those wanting to build a budget system, but also want a very good looking case. 2008-11-10
8/10 Unique Rigs NZXT has time and again improved their product line of cases. The Guardian 921 looks very aggressive and it should turn heads the next time you bring it to a LAN party. Though, I would've liked it to be available in more color variety just like the original Guardian did. The Guardian 921 is a very solid case; it's also a very inexpensive mid tower. If you're looking for a new gaming case that won't break the bank, have a look at the NZXT Guardian 921. We here at Unique Rigs kind of like the original Guardian, but we felt that the 921 version is a very good improvement. We give the NZXT Guardian 921 a score of 8 out 10 and our recommendation. 2008-11-10
Techware Labs All in all, NZXT's Guardian 921 is a well rounded case. The menacing looking exterior has a much more pleasing aesthetic quality compared to its predecessor, the original Guardian by NZXT. The lights, as you can see, are fairly bright, even in a full lit room. The temperature gauge does its job brilliantly, without looking too extravagant. Overall, for its price, the Guardian 921 is a great deal for the gamer on a budget. 2008-10-18
R&B Mods Overall, the NZXT Guardian 921 Edition case is a decent case that provides a custom look yet provides for an easy installation. The features on the front of the case, including the temperature display and the LED lights, look great and provide added functionality to the case. And the tool-less features are well-designed and make this case easy to assemble a computer in. If you’re looking for a gaming case that is easy to install yet provides some pizzazz, you may consider this case for your next build. 2008-10-16
93/100 Firing Squad In the short span of 4 years, NZXT continues to innovate in the world of computer cases. Their tool less design, excellent and effective fan placement, and regard for innovative features help set many of their offerings apart from the rest of the pack. The Guardian 921 is another in the long line of cases from NZXT that continues to establish a tradition of good craftsmanship, excellent feature set, and great quality. The front panel LCD is a good addition to an already well designed case and continues to contribute to NZXT’s dedication to innovative products in the world of PC components. 2008-10-09
8/10 BC Hardware The Guardian 921 is an excellent case, with awesome eye candy and a pretty good cooling system, this case comes highly recommended. The screwless design makes it easy to work on the system and update it, however in some areas, the features are a bit lacking. For the price however this case is an excellent buy, gamer and enthusiast alike will be satisfied. 2008-09-26
OCIA Seal of Approval Over Clocker Intelligence Agency Despite my tendancy to prefer a more conservative style of case I found the aesthetics of the NZXT Guardian 921 to my liking. Much like the Apollo that I reviewed a few years ago, NZXT has toned down the design of the Guardian 921 compared to other cases in the Crafted series such as the original Guardian or the Nemesis. They've kept the exterior to a single color and although there are some odd-shaped angles and curves on the front panel the overall result is, in my opinion, a good balance of unique design without being overly gaudy. 2008-08-30
OCC Gold Award OverClockers Club The NZXT Guardian 921 is awesome. The Halo video game helmet shape on the front with the LCD looks great. The three blue lit lines on the front also gives it a nice look. Moreover, the case looks even greater when you switch on the front and back fans, to show the blue LED on, which is allowed by the removable hard drive cage. However, this one is held in place by four screws, differently from the tool-less features allowing quick and easy hardware installation for drives and expansion cards. 2008-08-25
Gadget Blog This case is a no brainer for anyone looking to build a new system on a tighter budget. If you’ve got a bit more to spend, you may want to check out some of NZXT’s higher end cases, but definitely don’t count the Guardian 921 out of the running. It’s really got everything you need out of a high performance gaming case, especially if you’re going for the badass look. 2008-08-15
