| Recommended | Dan's Data | "The Guardian's extra features actually work , though. I'm impressed. ""This is obviously not a computer enclosure for everyone, even if you don't plug in the front panel lights. But it's surprising how good an enclosure it really is - and, speaking objectively about its fit and finish and not subjectively about its particular aesthetic direction, it's a really well executed product. It doesn't rattle or squeak or jam, its paintwork is slick, and the ludicrous front panel was clearly not created by people who thought it was a bad idea. " | 2004-05-18 |
| N/A | Guru 3D | "NZXT has done a truly wonderful job in designing this case, we hope it's the first of many designs. When we look at the price versus what you get for your money... well there are very little products out there that can beat the ~99 USD pricetag. A very good product for that kind of money, well let me correct that, it's a steal for that money! If you are interested in a case like this, you'll love it." | 2004-05-18 |
| N/A | Anandtech | "NZXT has done a great job in designing a chassis in the area of expandability. They provide ample drive bays for additional storage as well as precut slots to add extra case fans. Many times we see manufacturers put more effort into making the case look good, but at the same time, perform under the average compared to other cases in its class. NZXT incorporated good looks and performance in the Guardian. If used with the right components, the Guardian can truly be a unique gaming case." | 2004-04-15 |
| 87/100 | The Crucible | "The Guardian really did impress me. As a first product from NZXT it is really going to make them "sink or swim". I think NZXT will be doing a lot of swimming over the next few months. The style, finish, and features of the Guardian really set it apart from all the other cases we have reviewed. Overall NZXT has an amazing product in the Guardian. I can't wait to see what comes next." | 2004-04-05 |
| 7 Pimphats | Pimprig | "I thought that the design was just a gimmick, but there was obviously a lot of thought that went into the Guardian case. NZXT states that they are targeting this case at gamer's but I think a lot of other folks will appreciate the style as well. It's sure to be a hit with the younger crowd; both my teenagers said the case was "tight"." | 2004-04-05 |
| Tweaktown Best Features MUST HAVE | Tweaktown | "For those of us who want to create a system that not only performs but also makes a statement at the same time, there are manufacturers like NZXT who make it their business to make us happy. Overall I was impressed by the new look brought to the board with the Guardian series enclosure. It is offered in six colors and can be found for $99 USD including a 400 watt PSU. This isn't a bad price for a full-featured case to begin with, let alone with a power supply included." | 2004-04-05 |
| Very Good | Atruereview.com | " NZXT's Guardian is one nice case. I've done a few pre-mod reviews, and this is one of my favorites. " | 2004-04-05 |
| 8/10 | Modthebox | "... The NZXT Guardian Mid-Tower Case successfully combines form and function into one attractive package. The Guardian's unique design is sure to be the center of attention at the next LAN party, and the animated "Flash Motion" LED's will open a few eyes. The fabrication of the window on the side panel is top notch with the acrylic and metal sitting flush inside each other. The inclusion of the tri-colored 80mm fan adds a nice light spread to the case. The screwless drive bay installation speeds up drive installation immensely and the expansion card stabilizing clips are a welcomed addition. " | 2004-04-05 |
| 8.5/10 | Club Overclocker | "The NZXT guardian case gives you some very aggressive looks, and fairly good functionality. The fit and finish is very good, and lacked any flaws as if their quality control actually mattered which is a good thing" | 2004-04-05 |
| GREAT Gameman's Pick | 3dGameman | "The NZXT Guardian Gaming Case is one very distinctive looking case & there is nothing else that looks quite like it." | 2004-04-05 |
| 91% | Hardcoreware.net | "... consider that this is NZXT's first attempt at the market, and at a price point of $99 (400W PSU included!) this case is going to be tough to pass up. I think we're going to see big things from these guys in the future and I know I personally look forward to what they might come out with next." | 2004-04-05 |
