| UniqueRigs 8/10 | Unique Rigs | The quality of construction is very sturdy and the finish is very refined. We really like the black finish that extends all the way to the back of the case. We also did not come across any sharp edges on the outside and inside of the case. The locking mechanism on the side panels and the front panel are also very unique. | 2007-10-07 |
| DriverHeaven ShortList Award | Driver Heaven | The NZXT Adamas leaves an enthusiast with mixed emotions. It truly is an extremely high quality, top end case, more a work of art than a simple computer case, made to fit the needs of hardcore users and nobody else. | 2007-04-25 |
| 8/10 | UKGamer | The Adamas is a beautifully crafted case with a jet black body and compact dimensions. If you want the ultimate compact chassis either for a treasured system or a stylish Home Theatre PC setup then this should be one to consider. | 2007-04-25 |
| Technical Excellence | Hi-Tech Reviews | "This case is the real deal, if you want a case that will last forever then snag one of these bad boys before NZXT realizes its time to raise the price on these case." | 2007-02-23 |
| 95 points | Tweakup | "NZXT’s Adamas move the Tweak’O’Meter to 95 points for a great looking cabinet kept classy and simple in a time where premod cabinets are dominating. We get plenty of options for case mods in the raw aluminum cabinet which is available in both silver and black. The cabinet has an array of features never seen before and NZXT manages to keep the quality way up. The cabinet will easily fill up and get a little crowded so you need some patience as you install your hardware but you will get a great result with good air flow. " | 2007-02-16 |

| 9/10 | Tech Zone | "From the moment I took it out of the box, I knew this was an awesome case. The price is definitely steep for a mid-tower case, but if you are looking for a sturdy and elegant case with a classic look, this one definitely fits the profile. This case is so sturdy; it can support a regular person standing on it!" | 2006-11-29 |
| 8/10 | Hardware Logic | Aesthetically elegant, the subtle curves and well placed grooves makes this one of the most attractive mid towers we've ever laid eyes on. The black brushed aluminum looks fantastic, with even the back panel receiving a coat of paint. And function follows form thanks to the inclusion of no less than four 120mm case fans, keeping components cool with plenty of airflow. Further amenities include an easy to detach side panel along with a front panel that pops effortlessly off, a stealthed optical bay, and hidden front mounted ports. | 2006-11-22 |
| 10/10 Editor's Choice | Thinkcomputers.org | "For my first NZXT case I am thoroughly impressed with the amount of quality and craftsmanship that has gone into the Adamas case. For one almost everything on the case is made of metal, which mean the case is going to last for a long time and is durable. Talking about being durable the case can support well over 300 pounds! The tool-less sides and the front bezel mechanism are things that I have never seen before on a case and they work perfectly. They make changing out your system extremely easy. Installation took no time at all and there were no major problems along the way. Because all of the fans are 120mm they run at slow speeds so your computer does not sound like an air conditioner! NZXT has done an amazing job with this case and it is one of the best cases I have seen all year!" | 2006-11-14 |
| OC Cafe Recommended | OC Cafe | "From the moment that I first opened the box to actually installing a system into this case I have been continually surprised. The exterior of this case is absolutely wonderful in its design and looks. NZXT has used a very heavy grade of aluminum to design a case that is sturdily constructed but without sacrificing aesthetics. This is the kind of case you won't have to worry about bending or damaging because of it's sturdy construction. They have managed to even pull a few design surprises and create previously unseen (by me anyway) functionality. Being able to remove the front bezel by use of a single pull on a handle is great. Couple that with their decision to employ a very strong side panel latch and hinge design only helped to endear me even more." | 2006-11-07 |
| 9/10 PCApex Recommended | PCApex.com | "There's not much left to say. I said I liked this case before it arrived and I found nothing to change that opinion as I worked with it. The NZXT team has done an outstanding job with the Adamas. At a street price ranging from $157 to $226 the Adamas is positioned to compete directly with offerings from Lian Li, Cooler Master and SilverStone, and it competes well. Move over boys, there's a new kid on the block and he's driving a tank." | 2006-11-06 |
| Bjorn3d Seal of Approval | Bjorn3d.com | "In conclusion, I recommend the Adamas for those who demand a well-designed and fashionable computer case with durability and performance at the forefront. The Adamas is best suited for computers which do not get transported a lot or undergo continuous hardware changes. Furthermore, NZXT has delivered a case that offers superior active and passive cooling well beyond the needs of the average consumer, as well as enough for the hardware enthusiast or gamer." | 2006-11-03 |
| n/a | Tom's Hardware | "This particular case will likely win over fans of the more traditional design, that aren't interested in a ton of clear windows for lighting effects. Its toughness also makes it a good candidate for travel, since it's unlikely to crack or dent from the inevitable bumps that come hand in hand with movement, or from a 300-lb gamer falling on it at a LAN event." | 2006-10-30 |
| 9/10 | Techgage | "In the end, I am awarding the Adamas a 9 out of 10, and I will explain why. Though the size bothered me, but this is one of the highest quality cases I have ever encountered. Even the motherboard mounting screws are shiny chrome colored... NZXT really pays attention to detail. If you want a full sized HTPC case to look great in your livingroom, this would be a great choice." | 2006-10-23 |
