I struggled with where to apply the points awarded for NZXT's multiple "Small Extras" and eventually settled on including them in with the Presentation score because most of the time this score is a reflection on the particular company in question's packaging and marketing efforts. NZXT's packaging was well done but the high marks in this category pertaining to the Alpha are because of NZXT's repeated and welcomed efforts to enhance the customers initial experience with their product. The case's vulnerable surfaces are protected even during the manufacturing process, quality accessories, key edges rubberized for customer safety, extras like insulating washers, a manual, and the Piezo speaker, and lastly a neat and secure interior upon arrival that confers the impression of quality.

Yes. It has all the features I like in a mid-tower case, except for wheels. It's elegant, performs well, will show off your computer hardware nicely and will not set you back an arm or a leg. Matter of fact, for just less than 60 USD at Newegg, this case is a steal. With all the poorly built cases out there, it's nice to see one put together just right. I give it our highest award. As a matter of fact, I also plan to give it to my brother for his birthday.

We really liked the design of the case. The included fans were also very silent when we turned our unit on. The blue lighting also makes the case really stand out. Overall, we were very impressed with NZXT's newest mid tower offering. Not only it's very affordable, it would also look great on a desk whether it's for the office or for home desk. We here at Uniquerigs give the NZXT Alpha a score of 9 out of 10 and our recommendation.

The NZXT Alpha proved to be a pleasant surprise for me considering I wasn't expecting much from a case that costs around $80CAD. Personally, I think allot of us feel that $80 will get us a generic case which is bland, featureless and cools your components as well as a paper bag would. Yet with the Alpha, NZXT has shown us that a budget mid-tower enclosure can punch far above its price range by offering sleek design, good cooling options and 8800GTX compatibility.

The NZXT Alpha Classic Series Case offers a lot for a reasonable price of about $60. This case is well built and well designed. NZXT has put some extra effort into this case to make it a good case for a reasonable price. If you're looking to build a new rig with the latest and greatest components, this would be your case. With high-end component compatibility with the 8800GTX and an eSATA port this case was surely made for future components while still leaving room for older ones.

The NZXT Alpha is a great looking case, with clean cut, straight and modern lines. The clear plastic addition to the front in combination with blue LEDs looks awesome. While the case does not cost more than other budget cases, it can fit 8800 GTX or Ultras without any problems and also has the space for large power supplies and CPU heatsinks.

I was extremely happy with the Alpha and if I were in the market for a mid-tower case I'd certainly be happy with the price too. I spotted this case at several online retailers in the $50-$60 range with the optional side window version running on average only $5 more. When you consider the fine design and excellent build quality that price seems dirt cheap in comparison.
