Cooler for 15" gaming notebooks
Built with thick, brushed aluminum, the Cryo S houses two adjustable 120mm fans that provide powerful cooling to any notebook up to 15 inches. Its rubber finish lifts the notebook up slightly to remove heat pockets and enhance airflow. The Cryo S can be powered via USB or the included AC adaptor and provides two additional USB ports to give users even more options for media, storage and input devices.

“While the Cryo S is a bit pricier than I usually spend on laptop coolers (about $45 on Amazon.com), the quality is also quite a bit better than the cheaper models I’ve tried with my daughter’s laptop. If I added up what I’ve spent on coolers that died or just didn’t work, the price is definitely worth it. “Just like the predecessor the Cryo S does a great job keeping your laptop nice and cool. So many companies go cheap and OEM when it comes to notebook coolers, it is good to see NZXT use quality materials and good construction on the Cryo S. This is a great follow up to the Cryo LX; while that was a great cooler it was quite big for people that had smaller laptops. The Cryo S fixes that problem being able to support 10-inch to 15-inch laptops. Even though it is smaller NZXT was still able to fit a 2 port USB hub on it and the fans can be adjusted, which is nice. If you are a gamer that uses a laptop and you want to cool it down I would definitely recommend the Cryo S. It is definitely one of the best notebook coolers out there! Right now you can find the Cryo S online for around $40, which is what you should expect to pay for a quality notebook cooler. Overall ThinkComputers gives the NZXT Cryo S Laptop Cooler a 9 out of 10 score and our Recommended Award!”

“The overall construction of the NZXT Cryo S is top notch and the quality of the components and materials used was excellent. The USB hub was recognized immediately by Vista and functioned flawlessly. The functionality of the AC or USB power supplies was a nice touch, making versatility paramount with this cooler. The variable speed fans functioned as they should and were exceptionally quiet. The NZXT Cryo S notebook cooler is an extremely well built notebook cooler that does what it says. It is lightweight and has a nice feature set. The biggest benefit in using this cooler is the improved ergonomics that it provides.

“In many ways, you could say that NZXT is doing more of the same with the Cryo S notebook cooler. It’s not terribly different from the other Cryo notebook coolers, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. I have always enjoyed the benefits for a notebook cooler, sacrificing a little bit of peace and quietness to maintain reasonable laptop temperatures. This is particularly important during the summer when ambient temperatures are generally higher than normal. Powerful laptops generally don't have the internal cooling capabilities of a desktop PC but accessories like NZXT's Cryo S definitely help…. I highly recommend the Cryo S for your notebook

Overall, I was extremely happy with the Cryo S. It has everything you expect from a laptop cooler and doesn’t skimp in any way. I found the Cryo S at a popular online reseller for $45 USD. I consider this to be a great deal considering the Cryo S’s above-and-beyond high quality construction, very effective cooling system, and great looks. We honestly didn't think we'd see much of an internal temperature change but we were pleasently surprised. The Cryo S was able to drop the CPU temperature 2C and the motherboard temperature 4C over the stock laptop's cooling solution. Considering how the Cryo S functions, that is an awesome result. We like that the fan speed is adjustable as we could see some users being picky about the fan noise. Having the option to change the fan speed is definitely a plus. The look of the Cryo S is appealing as well. We liked the option to use an AC adapter in place of the USB cable as battery life would be reduced. Overall, the Cryo S is a solid laptop cooler.

The superb build quality of the NZXT Cryo S really makes it stand out in the crowded notebook cooler arena. NZXT has designed all the right touches in this thing to make it cool great, do it quietly enough, and be user friendly with things such as the rubber grip strips on the outer edges. Add the USB hub and fan speed controller and you've got a winning package. This is the unit I would run if I had a desktop set up with a high performance 15" or smaller Gaming laptop… it is one of the best notebook coolers on the market today.

The NZXT Cryo S notebook cooler is a rather straightforward product, and while it may not be terribly complicated, it does get the job done reasonbly well. The aesthetics here are quite sharp and the aluminum finish is very attractive. The Cryo S would look right at home attached to just about any notebook, and certainly in an office setting, and the construction of the cooler itself is excellent.

The NZXT Cryo S notebook cooler is a very well made laptop cooler that does its primary function well, while also providing several secondary benefits - such as the USB hub on the back, and the added benefit of having a keyboard that is tilted as to improve ergonomics... As seen below, I have given the Cryo S our gold medal, which is one away from our highest award... This is an excellent cooler that will have a place on my desk for a while.

All this said, NZXT has once again created a very high quality product. The thick aluminum construction is remarkably solid and even the rubberized plastic on top feels top notch.

The NZXT Cryo S does exactly what it's supposed to do - cool down your laptop. Even with a well-designed T61 Thinkpad, the Cryo S helps shave off a couple of degrees and keeps the notebook nice and cool - even when running full load. The laptop is kept in place thanks to the "grippy" rubber details on the top, and the adjustable fan speed is certainly nice.

The Cryo S notebook cooler is well made and it provides two silent 120mm fans to keep your laptop running cool. It also features the ability to run the fans using power from your computer or using the supplied AC adapter and it’s got a built-in USB hub to add more ports to your laptop.
