The simple design is a nice, refreshing change from some of the more complicated fan controllers and temperature monitoring devices on the market.  Maybe it won't thrill everyone, but I'm more than happy with the Sentry Mix.

The NZXT Sentry Mix is simple and powerful. It does nothing more than manually control fans, but there are not many products in the market able to handle 50 W per channel.

The extremely utilitarian nature of the Sentry Mix is a double-edged sword; what it does it does flawlessly, but it is missing features many have come to expect from a dedicated fan bus, including temperature monitoring and RPM reporting. If you have a lot of fans in your case (4+) and want a simple way to control them all, the Sentry Mix will give you a foolproof way to do so. If you want more advanced features like temperature-based automatic speed adjustment, or even RPM reporting, you will have to look elsewhere. Still, for $30+S&H (average price found online at time of publication) the Sentry Mix is a solid solution to a potentially frustrating problem.

The bottom line: How can you pass this up? 50W of power per channel, color changing LEDs, a slick rubber finish, and a very reasonable price. All these attributes combine make the Sentry Mix a must have for your fan control needs!

If you're in the market for an inexpensive fan controller, that can control up to 6 fans and is 50W per channel, the NZXT Sentry Mix Fan Controller might just be for you. If this is not your alley, NZXT has many other fan controllers to choose from.

If ultra-high power draw is what you need, look no further, as NZXT's Sentry Mix can provide 300 Watts total to the fans alone. Cables are far reaching and are marked for easy identification and each slider is clearly labeled and lit for quick adjustments. Even if the amount of possible power isn't necessary, perhaps quantity is, and the Sentry Mix also proves itself here with six channels. Sturdy construction and a tasteful selection of LED colors are small, but welcomed inclusions. The Sentry Mix is due out before the end of the year, and, should it be released at a price point around $30-$35, I would easily recommend it.

The Sentry Mix feels solid and the quality of construction really shows in the feel of the sliders and the weight of the module itself. The LEDs illuminating each channel are bright enough to be seen, and are not blindingly bright. They really look great in a darkened room.

If you want a powerful easy to use fan controller the NZXT Sentry Mix becomes a viable option. The $40 price point does little to make us feel the need to upgrade but the fact is that the Sentry Mix is a well built product.  We feel that the NZXT Sentry Mix is definitely worth considering if you are in the market for a simple to use high quality fan controller for a new system build.

I liked the NZXT Sentry Mix. There are a ton of channels, and a ton of power. The Mix has a good look that doesn't overpower a case, but provides a little flare. It's a good base fan controller for those who just want the essentials. I'd recommend the NZXT Sentry Mix to anyone in the market.
