“One of the better budget-to-midprice PC cases we’ve seen, the Lexa S is stacked with thoughtful features for gaming-PC builders.”

“In all, the NZXT Lexa S is a great case for the money (~$80). It looks sleek and stylish, and the black painted interior completes the look. The included fan controller works well with the four included fans, and room for 7 hard drives is more than enough for most people. ”

“The NZXT Lexa S outperforms in major areas for a beautiful price point that cannot be argued. While small problems exist with stand-off motherboards, the majority of the features far outrank one of the negatives. The NZXT Lexa S is simply marvelous.”

“I knew the Lexa S would be a strong performer the moment I laid eyes on it. With the inclusion of 4 case fans, NZXT gives its customer a good start on the road to cooling. NZXT has fired off a new case once again, and has hit several consumers with a myriad of attractive features alongside powerful performance. Sitting around a price point of about $100 CAD, it's fairly difficult to find another computer chassis that competes in all areas given; it's a case that I would recommend to anyone looking to build a new PC and not have to break the bank when out shopping for this critical component.”

“The NZXT Lexa S is an extremely well built case for the money. There is a great deal of room within the interior to accommodate just about any system you could wish to put into it, including the larger sized higher end graphics cards. The simple installation allows for easy system builds, with quick hard drive swaps and installations made simple by the HDD rail system. The large opening behind the CPU socket on the motherboard also provides easy access to the back of the motherboard tray for simple CPU upgrades without the need for removing the motherboard. The subtle lighting is a nice touch as well, adding to the spaceship like appeal that the case appearance has. Good overall case for the money.”

“The Lexa S computer case represents an excellent value for budget-builders. I've seen cases in the $120 range that don't offer the features and construction quality this case does. The NZXT Lexa S Mid-Tower computer case is a standout product in this price range.”

“The NZXT Lexa S is a decent performer out of the box, and has room for cooling expandability by adding an additional 140mm intake fan at the top of the chassis. It is also a very sturdy well built case with a plethora of top-end offerings that should make it an easy choice for those on a budget, and looking for a home for their new build, or just a transplant from an older rig. Aesthetically pleasing to the eye, the Lexa S is not overly kitschy and blends quite agreeably into your office or home computer space. The Lexa S is a great value when it comes down to basics it does the job satisfactorily and it is tough to pass judgment on something at its price point. Selling for around $90 US you get plenty of bang for the buck and should be happy with what you get.”

The Lexa S rounds out our trio of NZXT reviews, taking its place as the highest priced of the three. The $69 price puts it $10 above the M59 and $20 over the Beta EVO. For the extra price you’re getting dedicated fan controls, extra fans and rubber inserts for the cable management holes. In my opinion it’s more than worth it. That said, this is my favorite cases to date.

“The NZT Lexa S is a very nice case overall in both quality and design. The addition of the fan controller is very much appreciated and it makes controlling the temperature and noise level of your case easy. The fact that the motherboard is cut out to allow you to easily swap CPUs is a great feature that I think should be on every motherboard tray. I personally hate to take the entire motherboard out just to install a CPU cooler.”

“Overall the NZXT Lexa S is a sleek and powerful case. The complete black coloring scheme can make it similar to other cases, but the black tinted side panel window gives it that extra benefit. It has a lot of features for a small price of around $89.99 at your favorite online retailer. Overall Think Computers awards the NZXT Lexa S Crafted Series Black Steel Mid Tower Chassis a 9 out of 10 score.”

The idea I want people to take away from this, however, is that this is a well built, rewarding case with many innovative features, and if you're not looking to stuff it with QuadFire and multiple liquid cooling systems to support it you WILL be well rewarded. The case now has a place of honor in my house, and I will continue to use it not out of the concept of "it's a case" but because it is a great example of how to do it right.

“We've had the chance over the past couple years to get a few NZXT cases onto our test bench here at BCCHardware, and the one thing that we've noticed time and time again is the value that you get with NZXT. The Majority of the cases we've taken a look at from NZXT have retailed in the sub-$100 dollar range, yet the features and the quality that NZXT offers makes their cases a great choice. There are a ton of choices in the sub-$100 dollar case market, but NZXT makes a pretty good case and the Lexa S that we reviewed today is no different. Features like built-in fan control, and the inclusion of 4 case fans are a couple of the biggest features that makes the Lexa S very attractive to the consumer. In addition you also get some great cable management features and a case where airflow should never be an issue, and in the past these are some of the features that cheaper cases did not have.”

“I like the look and the feel of this case. The small accents, like the tinted plexiglass with the beveled edges, the steel mesh drive covers and the two plastic strips on the front that glow blue, are all subtle details that make the appearance of this case superb. I enjoyed getting my hands on this case and seeing what NZXT had to offer in the latest of their "Crafted" series.”

And finally those looking for a mean, intimidating case, with the look of some evil knights helmet why not consider the NZXT Lexa-S Crafted Series Gaming Case. Right out of the box this gaming case comes with three NZXT 120mm Fans and also a NZXT 140mm exaust fan with room for one more. And with a few simple motion you can easily turn up or down you intake or exhaust fans with this cases built in fan controllers.”

We think this is a terrific product for the user that is on a budget and is looking for a good product. It is USD 10 more expensive than M59, however it comes with two fan speed controllers and two fans more than M59. If you want the ability to control the speed of the fans from your case – for example, slowing the fans down when you are not playing for lower noise level and cranking them up when you are for higher ventilation – it is worthwhile paying USD 10 more to get this case.

“The overall fit and finish of the NZXT Lexa S is top notch and it should be anyone's short list for a second computer or perhaps one for the son, daughter, wife or mistress. The design will fit comfortably in any local and it will make a great gamer or business computer. SO what's left to say other than go out and snag one for yourself.”

“The Lexa S is a good case for what you pay; fans aplenty, very sleek, attractive aesthetic, nice to work in, but can be a pain to wire. If you're looking for an attractive LAN case to drag around, or even to maybe put WC into (which would look awesome through the window with some cold cathode lights), then look no further. Wiring complaints aside, this is a superbly crafted case at a great price.”

“What I have now is a desktop PC that I can carry around without much effort, test any card or drive I might need to when I get there and, thanks to the use of an SSD, will boot Windows 7 in 41 seconds and turn off in less than 11 seconds. I'm sure there will be cases that accept 2.5-inch form factor drives appearing in increasing numbers. However, NZXT's support for them now -- while not compromising on card and drive expansion possibilities -- is a major plus both for a PC used as a test bed and, inevitably, as we grow our computers from their first build to their final form.”

“Overall, there are very few negatives that can be said about the Lexa S when compared to previous versions, especially when it comes to price. While the Blackline dropped the cost about $30 from that of the original Lexa, so has the S come down nearly another $30 over the Blackline. I found the Lexa S online as low as $75, which I think is an outstanding price for a case with this high level of features. Those with a greater selection of hardware to install may want to look for something with a bit more room, but for an average mid-tower user the Lexa S makes a perfect choice.”
