Dual 120mm Fan CPU Cooler with Four 8mm Heat Pipes
To achieve superior CPU cooling, you can count on NZXT’s award-winning HAVIK series to rid of all your heating issues. In comparison to the HAVIK 140, the HAVIK 120 is compact offering more versatility. This 120mm CPU cooler is perfect for overclockers seeking a small yet powerful fan cooler. The base is composed of nickel-plated copper material that utilizes four 8mm pipes for transferring heat to aluminum fins. This allows more air to reach the heatsink which keeps temperatures low while increasing longevity of your components. HAVIK 120 is a victory for any enthusiast looking for an inexpensive and high performing silent CPU cooler.

The new NZXT cooler is completely universal, has a simple and reliable high-pressure retention and doesn’t interfere with the tall heatsinks on memory modules or voltage regulator components. At the same time, NZXT Havik 120 offers great cooling efficiency and is capable of coping with (not extremely) overclocked six-core processors at minimal rotation speed of its two default fans. Some improvements of the base finish and, most likely, use of alternative fans with classical blades could make this cooler even better.

To conclude this chapter, I would say that overall we have a nice little cooler in the hands. Although it does not leave the lot, it offers good performance that allows it to stand up to the coolers of larger scale because do not forget that the radiator is relatively small.

NZXT have yet again released a high quality product to compete in the overcrowded air cooler market.  They have managed to reduce the size of the cooling tower and fans while improving the performance produced by their initial award winning Havik 140. The use of thicker heatpipes is an inspired decision.  We also appreciate the easy installation of the Havik 120, which earns some bonus points.

The performance is spot-on, there are no features that I feel are lacking or wasted, and it's simply more of a space-saver compared to the NZXT Havik 140. With the Havik 120, you still get very similar performance as the Havik 140 but at a smaller cost to both your wallet and case real estate. The Havik 120 is simple and to the point, yet it has the cool knife-edged fins, a feature I have never seen before. I've always been a sucker for form over function.

Moving to the Havik coolers we were happy with the build quality of each model. They felt sturdy and the parts used, such as NZXT fans, were of a high standard. Installation was simple and the manual easy to follow and overall there was one issue... we really were not fans of the rubber fan mounts. Standard clips as used by other manufacturers work just as well and are less fiddly. That said the performance cannot be faulted and these two coolers offered top notch performance in the air cooling marketplace.

If you’re looking to upgrade from a stock Intel heatsink, the NZXT Havik 120 is a pretty good value. It puts in a solid performance—a vast improvement over stock parts, and doesn’t break the bank while doing so. The installation may be a touch awkward, but for most it’s a one-time event and quickly forgotten once things are up and running. We’re happy to award it the Icrontic Stamp of Approval.

The NZXT Havik 120 CPU Cooler is an affordable cooler that looks great, comes with two 120mm fans, 4 heatpipes and performs well. It's also not to large so it should fit in almost any case.

The HAVIK 120, a smaller version of the company's HAVIK 140 CPU cooling system with a fan so large it makes a ceiling fan look like a desktop unit. The HAVIK 120 has two, double the number of most competitive cooling solutions. The 1500 RPM maximum fans, each with 13 blades, offers rubber mounting for ultra-quiet operation and maximum air movement that's rated at about 75 cubic feet per minute (CFM).
