Hey guys! I NEED to know ASAP if these cables work for what I intend to use em

I have the XFX XXX Edition PRO850W PSU

It's semi modular, it has 6 pin ports that allow you to add molex and sata and what not

I would like to extend them and make em white with this cable: http://www.amazon.com/6-Pin-Premium-Extension-Cable-White/dp/tech-data/B003TSCZS0/ref=de_a_smtd

Thing is, I have 2 of these cables (well rather 6+2 versions, but it's because I'm using em for my graphics card), but these say VGA cables, I do not know if these will work the same as the other 6 pin cables

I'm guessing they will work, since the ones by Bitfenix say PCI-E :D - http://www.frozencpu.com/products/image/14074/cab-585_2.jpg/cab-585/Bitfenix_Alchemy_Multisleeve_6-Pin_PCI-E_Extension_Cable_-_45cm_-_White_BFA-MSC-6PEG45WK-RP.html?id=84jrguYn&mv_pc=23833

Here's a pic of the ports: http://pc.watch.impress.co.jp/img/pcw/docs/452/810/1.jpg

Will these 6 pin VGA extensions work fine on these?? I don't wanna waste money or fry anything

The 6 pin VGA extensions are made to extend your current cable. If you have the pcie cable and only need 6 pins, you can use that to extend the length of your current cable.

What I am wondering is this.

I want the EXTENSION to go into the PSU, NOT the video card. They will be used to make it so that there are white cables coming out of my PSU, and all the black is hidden away, they will NOT be used for VGA, I want to plug em into PSU and then to something else

Sorry, Ive been having a busy week. But these will not fit into your PSU. Since these are just extensions, they are male to female connectors. The cables that come with your PSU are male to male because the ports on both your video card and your power supply are female connectors. If you want your modular cables to be white, I would suggest re-sleeving them, unless you can find male to male pcie power cables in white that will fit your PSU.

Modular PSU (6 pin female) - (6 pin male) extension (6 pin female) (original modular PSU cable) (4 pin molex male) (4 pin molex female) (this cable --> http://goo.gl/jfY7L)

and the end of it goes to my DVD drive

Why wouldn't this work ^?

PCIE cables for modular power supplies are ALWAYS male-male. If a PCIE cable is male-female, the cable is known as an extension. Extensions merely take the cable and lengthen it. The molex cable works because when you take a chain of molex cables off of a modular PSU, the connectors are female. So it will have a male-female connector on it. However, if it were to plug directly into your PSU, it would have to have a correctly keyed 6-pin to molex connector.

Hmm I see /= I'm disappointed with the line of NZXT cable sleeves /= They're nice but they could offer so much more, I bought the rest of my stuff from Bitfenix cause NZXT has em on Amazon but only some, some cables have only certain colors, Bitfenix has a good 7 colors for every cable they offer /=

If it doesn't exist the way you want it, you can always make/mod it yourself :p
