Hi there,

Just bought the Sentry2 because it looked cool !
before sentry2 my pc was just a bit warmer and quiet, you could not even tell if it was on or off.

Now I installed the sentry2, I feel like I'm sitting on a vaccum cleaner, and it is very noisy, my 2 fans are set to 40% (cannot go lower)

My dumb question is : How can i go 20 or 30% speed ? I know my fans cans run at such speed because they worked like this for months, and PC never overheat.

Please note that I've good skills with solder iron, and unsoldering a chip is not a problem, if the only solution you provide is a hardware mod.

LOL dont rely on NZXT for an answer.

Sure somebodu will correct me but to set the fan trip points just touch the temp when you have the fan you want on the display.

EG. to set the trip point on fan one make sure it is LIT on the display.
Touch the temprature section once and it should start to flash.
use the + (plus) and - (minus) areas to raise or lower the trip temprature.
When you have it as you need then touch the temprature area once.
It should now trip and start to engage the fan at the value you just set.

The only MOD that I am going to do is to take a blank 3.5 " plate and mount some DPDT switches to reverse flows for equalisation temprature testing.

I still have to work out which fan and probe is which though as mine all came numbered the same !!

hi folks,

Just replaced my fan & everything is now quiet again.
My previous fan was a real blower, even at 40%....

For that blower, I guess 10 or 20% speed should have been enough.

I consider my problem as closed

bye
