I need a PSU for a "new" build. I got some parts I am gonna use in a new build. I will have my nvidia 7600gt 1 gig of ram, one hard drive, a P4 on 3.2 Ghz etc.

I got myself a NZXT guardian from a friend with broken front door and broken power button but that I can fix, I got it cheap :p

Now I need a PSU and I want a cheap one that works. I not gonna overclock, I am not gonna use this power supply in future build. I have been looking at FPS group and Ace PSU:s and I wonder, are they "too" bad to use? I think 350 or 400 watt will be enough.

Since I have just bought a laptop I am pretty much out of cash so I need a cheap one.

Give me some guidance!

You've got the wrong mentality man, don't buy cheap on a PSU.

What's this computer for? It sounds like it'll only be marginally faster than your current rig. So unless you just need another physical tower, I'd suggest building an actually solid rig, eh?

My "current" setup does not exist anymore. I switched that one for the laptop I needed for school so my sig picture is false. This copmuter will be only for half life 2 :D

Okay ivybat. I have decided to listen to your wise advice. I will go for a more decent PSU. Here are some suggestions:
Corsair CMPSU-450VXEU 450W
Hiper Type-S HPU-4S435 435W
Nexus NX-8040 400W
Thermaltake TR2 W0101 550W

Wow, tripple post by now, sorry about that.
I have ordered a Corsair VX 450 W. It seems to be a great PSU.

Good choice. I didn't realize you didn't have a tower anymore! then this is a more sensible rig choice :)

It was really hard to get rid of the old rig but I needed a laptop for school and at the moment I didn't have the funds to keep my rig and getting a laptop. This new rig is better than my laptop in one way, namely the graphics.

Errr... May I ask what is the problem with FSPgroup PSUs? As far as I know OCZ PSUs are fortron-based...
