Hi, new here :)

I'm getting the tempest as it looks brillo, however I've a question about the fans, I've noticed there are six, and all must be connected to some sort of power supply, will a standard modular psu have these connections?

Also I hear if you remove the filters you can see the front two fans better, is this true, if so is it a hard job???

I know you get cathode tube things for the front exterior of the case, but are they included for the inside of the case? if so is there an on/off switch? if not what lights up the inside of the case so much?

Finnaly, I notice there are a lot of connections to be plugged into the motherboard, e.g usb, esata etc... will most motherboards support these. I have the ASUS p5q pro.

Any help would be IMMENSLY helpfull :)

Thanks,

Tim

I have a modular psu, I just ran my fans in series plugged into the PSU before I got my fan controller. My PSU has plenty of 6 pin molex slots.

Also I hear if you remove the filters you can see the front two fans better, is this true, if so is it a hard job???

I've never tried this, my room is fairly dusty & I want to keep as much of it out of my case as possible. You can still see the the LED fans well, better than in any pics I've seen. They would be very easy to remove.

I know you get cathode tube things for the front exterior of the case, but are they included for the inside of the case? if so is there an on/off switch? if not what lights up the inside of the case so much?

These bars show HD activity & plug into the mobo. No way to turn them off that I'm aware of unless you wired in a switch. The LED fan on the clear side panel is what lights up the inside of the case so much, the 140mm LED fans on the top contribute. There are no cathode tubes inside the case.

Finnaly, I notice there are a lot of connections to be plugged into the motherboard, e.g usb, esata etc... will most motherboards support these. I have the ASUS p5q pro.

I'm not familar with you mobo, but I was able to plug everything in except the audio out & mic in. I would have to buy a high end sound card to plug into if I wanted these to work, but it's no big deal to me.

Any help would be IMMENSLY helpfull :)

Thanks,

Tim

I put my responses in bold.

Hi, new here :)
Welcome!

I'm getting the tempest as it looks brillo, however I've a question about the fans, I've noticed there are six, and all must be connected to some sort of power supply, will a standard modular psu have these connections?

Yes, it will. You don't have to worry about that at all. Even if there aren't enough connectors for every fan, you can daisychain fans.

Also I hear if you remove the filters you can see the front two fans better, is this true, if so is it a hard job???

This may be true, but it is much better to have the filters there than to have brighter fans. I think you'll be okay with it. If you really want it to be brighter, it is easy to take off the front panel and remove the filters. People regularly clean filters, so NZXT made it easy to take them out.

I know you get cathode tube things for the front exterior of the case, but are they included for the inside of the case? if so is there an on/off switch? if not what lights up the inside of the case so much?

The cathodes on the outside are built into the case. No inner cathodes are provided, but the LED fans will light it up. If you want, you can buy some CCFL kits, that will really light up your case, but in pictures for advertisement they usually brighten it up in photoshop.

Finnaly, I notice there are a lot of connections to be plugged into the motherboard, e.g usb, esata etc... will most motherboards support these. I have the ASUS p5q pro.

Yep, you'll have all the available connections.
