Apple iPhone

I am planning to purchase a 16gb iPhone in two weeks. I have already evaluated the Nokia N95, so don't try to push it on me!

I am already on AT&T so that is not a concern of mine. However I am sort of wondering if I should wait until June and see if they release the the iPhone2.

The features the iPhone currently lacks are ones that are not particularly important to me. (3G and GPS) There are however several software issues that I hope they will be updating. (Camera zoom, SDK "announced", copy and paste, and video recording)

I guess the biggest thing that I want is more disk space.

What do you think? Wait 4 more months? My contract ends in March.

Also can anyone give me their experience of the iPhone? Dood really likes his 4gb. Can anyone recommend a case?

I have come to learn in the past few weeks that there are a thousand cases out there, each engineered for a specific purpose. There are cases for outdoorsy camping people, and cases for private people that have screen protectors, so it really reaches everywhere. Check your PMs.

I would wait. I personally wouldn't buy an iPhone, just because of the cost in the UK. It's £850 at it's cheapest in the UK for 18 months, yet you can get other great phones for £450 for the same amount of time, with better contracts. It doesn't make sense.. :(

have you looked into the Meizu MiniOne M8 already? it's better then the iphone, better specs and OS, 16GB only for $330 and it will come out somewhere near march/may

But I don't like being forced to write by putting you fingers on the screen, The HTC TyTn at least has a keyboard. And I have to have a 3G phone, this one has turbo 3G as well.

heh, I don't even have mms in my contract, it costs alot, and I hardly ever use it anyway, just like texting

You tend to use mms alot more when you have a good camera phone. One thing Apple did to make sure all iPhone users got to have the optimal experiance is unlimited data.

that's why I am getting a Meizu MiniOne M8 and not an iphone, don't think it has 3g either, but I don't use that anyway
