I just ordered the components in my sig & now have to figure out how to put them all together when they arrive.

This will be my first build, but I learned my lesson after letting the IT guy at work build my last machine & then I was left to figure out how to make it all work. It was his first SLI build. The biggest lesson learned was to get the best case possible & that's why I selected the Tempest. My current rig has always had heat issues.

Anywho, I'm 43, married, civil servant, that loves MMOs. I rent my basement to a friend that is a student & needs to run Autocad. My current rig will work for that. It'll be relegated to basement duty, the old basement shuttle machine comes back upstairs as a back up. So that's how I justified buying a new machine with the wifey.

I'll be adding a matching video card & a 24" monitor after my Visa cools off. I'm currently trying to hunt down a Sentry LX & that's what brought me here.

haha, indeed they do.
Welcome to the Forum.
There are a number of little tricks to putting a machine together from scratch, but lets cross those hurdles when we get to them or we will end up with pages of stuff that wont be needed!

Ah, so we get about the same crappy gas mileage. I'm glad I only have to drive 3.5 miles to work. I would probable call in sick if we got that much snow. We get a few inches a couple times a year, I don't have 4X4, but put the stock wheels & tires on for the winter.

yeah i use stock wheels and tires for 14 years O_O haha

but yeah, we pull about 17 mpg on the highway, rated at 14 so it's a decent deal... i don't do much driving in it though, school has been .98 miles away for the past 4 years, and i'm living at school for the next four, so we'll see =P
