so i just bought a Apollo, i love the look.. and whatnot.. i installed my motherboard (Gateway board) the other day.. and plugged in the main panel hookups only for the time being.. well my issue is... the Reset Light (red) comes on.. and the Blue LED at the front above the Reset.... but when i hit the power button... The cpu fan turns once.... and then it stops.. and wont come on.. i do have to say the spot on the board where the CPU is.. has a small protrusion at the bottom. making the MOBO uneven sitting in the case and when i screw it down.. one side wants to rock upwards.. so i screwed both down.. just enough but it has a slight Backwards bend... its a VERY VERY Minor bend.. VERY.. but if that could at all be the issue.... i dont know.. please respond to this asap... if u can walk me through the Issue.. Text me @ 2099222922, i dont answer Unknown numbers... sooo Thanks alot!

BTW.. forgot to mention... on my MOBO manual... under front panel connections... it shows all the same hookups that i have + 1 i dont.. ill give u a link of the MOBO manual.. its available online, BUt its asks for a 5V Rail that i dont see on the CASE... its really irritating.. could that be why it doesnt stay on?

Is it just the CPU fan which switches on then off, or everything on the mobo?
If it's everything on the mobo, try it outside of the case, it sounds like a short.

Everything.. it all shows activity and shuts right off... and my mOBO manual asks for a 5v Rail in Socket 9... if u go to the link, that i dont have plugged in.. cause well i dont see the plug on the case... im thinking that is the reason its not staying on... BUT i could be wrong.. please check and let me know
u think its the CASE having a short? cause i did just have it in the default case a few days ago working fine....

I dont have a phone capable of text right near me, but if your still online, dont use the Power button on the case, use a metal object like a knife or something to short out the 2 power pins on the board, this will give you a quick indication if its the board itself. I suspect it probably is, but better to check, one you know that its not the power button on the case, remove the mobo from the case onto a wooden table/stone/plastic nothing that will conduct electricity, and connect everything up to it like you would have inside the case, but have the mobo sitting dead flat, on the table so no chance of a bend or anything like that, and again use a knife or other object to short out the 2 power pins and see if that makes a difference to whether it turns on or not. Just make sure that also you have the correct pins plugged in, that Manuel is... disjointed and confusing the two pins next to the not connected pin is where the power button should be connected, so thats where you should short it.
However if it continues, and still does not turn on when on a table stop, try removing all the ram modules, or just leave 1 in, im not sure if that will help in this particular situation considering the machine wont even power on.
If everything ive suggested fails i would recommend contacting the mobo manufacturers technical support, it could be a faulty board.
Good luck
*edit*
The other thing is just to make sure all connectors and plugs are firmly connected, i had a loose molex connector that caused my system to behave in a similar way, just a thought
*edit 2*
If you had it running in the other case only a few days ago, if you can remember what the 5v pin was for... was it plugged in in that setup? etc. I dont believe its got anything to actually connect to if it was required, the pins next to it are already in use by reset button, so unless its used with some kind of triangular plug, it cant be connected to anything other then a single pin and even then, it would be a connection between 5v and ground...

Mostly just give it a good push, maybe if you get that side in fist and then lower the other side, just make sure the PCI clip is out of the way, it should move out of the way when you push it in, but i broke one once...
i always make sure i give an even force and NO TWISTING!!! lol

Did you install your motherboard on standoffs?
Also, no need to start two threads, we've got you on this one.

so i got my pc working.. its the one im posting on now... its very nice with the new case :).. but i know have another issue arrising..my other pc... just randomly last night started giving me a No Boot Drive found error.. and when i went into my bios.. it had been turned off..., so i enabled it.. set it as boot Priority # 1, and after the DELL (no comments) Logo loads through and the CPU / MOBO load up... it freezes with a little flashing Dash in the top left corner of my monitor... instead of loading windows...
IF it helps at all. i replaced the CPU cooler when this started happening too.. was having issues......

It is a referbished machine... ETC ETC.. and i thought it might have been The Ram.. so i moved the 2 gig sticks over to the 1-2 slot on the mobo... still nothing..

i'd usually tell you not to hijack a thread, but it's your own thread so whatever..
But this sounds like a corrupt OS, your disk crashed, or something to that effect. You may have even lost your file system.
Try taking out your HDD and attaching it as an external to another computer and see what happens... hopefully you'll at least be able to pull out your other data and reformat.
If you don't have an external enclosure, just attach it as a secondary drive in your new apollo (while the computer is off..) and boot up and see if your computer even recognizes the new disk.

The GTX does take some torture to get in, it shouldn't that much of a problem. The only thing that i can see that would be stopping it from going all the way down, is if something is in the way or the mobo isn't all the way down. I know i tried to do this about 2 years ago with my apollo and my Gateway mobo wasn't meant to be with the case. Pictures would be a great help man, as it would make things a lot easier for us to identify the problem.
