Is there a genuine interest in something like this? I mean the chassis is gigantic... ( it was meant to fit 8 HDD , triple SLI setup, ATX PSU, etc ). I think people in the living room are looking for more compact and smaller solution, what's the general consensus here? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated guys.

im not so sure something quite that extreme is an idea however what i would do is go talk to www.silentpcreview.com, they joined up with antec to help design the p180 (and to say tht didnt get a decent bit of acclaim could be considered an understatement ;)).

currently the best offering from their point of view is an antec HTPC case in terms of silence, except that it requires a fair amount of work (complete insulation, hard drive anti-vibration mounting and sound dampening foam before it gets there).

Personally id go for say 6 2.5" drives and two opticals for those who want a server as well as a media center followed up by something sleeker that meant to be silent and rely on an external server for hard drive stored content.

and finally a top of the range deal, same chasis as the server one but give it an all black face and whack an LCD behind one side of it. Of course what would be really cool for that would be centering the screen and having that as the only thing on the front of the boxand making the acrylic slide down (acrylic and LCD would be to costly) to reveal two optical drives hidden away. and then maybe use a white light to illuminate the acrylic around the edges and an NZXT logo in the bottom left? (drill into acrylic a hole the size of an LED, put LED in and it illuminates side ways through the acrylic making the edges and any dremel work glow :))
