bit on the over kill side for the gpu isnt it?
dont you get more value out of the money with 4 cheaper Sli cards instead of one or two new and expesive ones?

Well, most sli cards you can have is 2. This setup will give you 4. Yes buying 2 cards will be cheaper. But like i said getting 2 of these will give you 4 GPU's.

probably not, and anyway quad sli is complet pain to pull off unless nVIDIA does it.

Yeah, they haven't released the drivers yet as far as I know.

well, since the drivers and driver/ card support from games do alot about the performance, some games would perform even better with just a standard sli setup (2gpu's) or in the best case one very high end card would outperform this card.

1. there is a limit to what drivers can do
2.this is standard SLI just with a fancy name and using one PCI E slot
3. this out performs the very high end cards, it is the very highest end card.

Ya agreed, the 7950gx2 is just two glorified 7900s strapped together to fit one slot with a ton of marketing nonsense.

well, if you read the tomshardware review, you can see that the radeon x1900xtx (single) and the gforce 7900gtx (also single) sometimes (not always) outperforms the 7950gx2. it is faster but it cost alot to much for what it gives

Yea but dont forget, you get better image quality with sli.

whats with the whatever? cause hes right with SLi/Xfire you can do X16 AA and X32 AF instead of X8 AA and X16 AF with a single card

i'm sorry, my english isn't perfect, i didn't mean it in the way that you understood it
i do know/agree that sli or crossfire give better image quality than a sinlge card
