im going to be 14 22 days from now!!!!
now to the point... im getting $800 us dollaz, im going to get 2 gig of flashy corsair xms ram ($249) so what kind of gpu should i get for $301? (nvidia only plz)

i worked things out woth my parents so heres how it goes: my mom is going to let me choose out a graphics card for 600, and my dad is buying the ram. should i go for a dual-core 6800gt or 7800gt?
edit: my ram is corrupt and its gay so i have to get new ram x.x
the 6800gt dual looks gay so im going with a 7800gt, yay!
damn i dont know if this is a double post or not because my first one isnt showing WHATEVER

bah im so confused!!! now im looking at an a64 3700+ with 1mb l2 which is like 250 (for s754), and 2 gig of corsair xms, at dealram i found a better deal at newegg for 170 :3. im changing my mind as i go x.x im just going to keep the gs cuz it works fine. ill consider a 7800gs when they come out for pci-e.

The most I ever get is under $400 and educational + beneficial for things besides gaming.

and i think u havnt been looking properly becausee the 7800 is nativly PCI-e and has to use a bridge to work on AGP.
and personally id get a x1900xt, whats wrong with ATI? the x1900xt is the best card u can get atm.

im curious as to why ur gpu's are sio much more opwerful than ur CPUs, doesnt seem to make sense to me.
id get a better cpu and sligthly worse gpu personally.
ok so i think im going to keep my gpu, overclocked 6800gs.

athlon64 3400+ 2.4ghz 512 cache
going with the 64 bit windows because its supposed to give you a BIG boost in gaming, that and i just farted
