On my Nemisis I was trying to reinstall windows because I had some much stuff that was messed up before. Then when windows said to shut down the computer and then turn it back on, it doesnt turn on. Does anybody know why?PLEASE HELP?!?! :confused: :confused: :confused: :confused:

Didnt you have a similar problem a while back with the power supply not powering up? It was a looooong thread.... Problem ended up be that the Mobo was mounted directly to the case without the standoffs???

I was just reinstalling windows on this computer. The I had to shut the computer off. When I tried to turn it back on it wouldnt turn on

could be what mandrake mentioned but i think you should check the power supply to see if it's still working.

PSU's do blow out when you least expect it. Ironically just the other day I re-installed Win2K on a machine that was working but the HD had crashed. Everything installed ok since the machine does a warm boot as windows is installed. However, when I did a cold boot and powered all the way down... the PSU went dead, no smoke no POP nothing.... Dead... So if the machine was working previously and all you had done was a cold boot... then thats probably whats happened. The best thing you can do is try another PSU or test the apparent dead PSU in another case and see if it powers up. Then go from there. Good Luck!
