It seems that the CPU temp is not working. It gives me a ===. The HDD and SYS work fine though. Can the CPU temp wire be replaced easly?

I also noticed the logo of the Nemesis does not light up at all. Does the logo have to do with the HDD activity light at all? My case came with 2 HDD LED connectors. One was in a spiral stran like the Power/Reset switch and the other was split into two connecters. I used the spiral stran. Can you please tell me why there are 2 strans of HDD LED connectors when most mobos only have a spot for one?

Thanks in ADV.

1 HDD activity comes from the Meter, and 1 From the Front Panel ( Nemesis Logo ). The Hdd from the Meter should have an additional that you can connect to the Front Panel HDD.

Im still a little confused.
There are 2 wires.

One wire has one lead and is a twsited wire like the power switch. Where does this one plug into?

The other wire has two leads (split). One is for my temp meter and one is for the Nemesis Logo?

I have the MSI Neo2 Platinum nForce3 board. Can you help me out a little and tell me where im suposed to conenct them?

Also, since the CPU temp does not come up im guessing it was somehow damaged or the temp meter is faulty when it trys to get the temp. I really don't want to send anything back because it's time consuming to take everything out of the case. Is there somehow i can fix/replace this myself?

The two split one is the one coming from the meter. One of the two pins from the two split goes into your mobo, the other connected to the "One wire has one lead and is a twsited wire like the power switch". Hope everything is clear.

Have you tried to manipulate the temp sensor for CPU ( The one with yellow plastic at the end ) to see if you get any readings at all? Thanks

Oh,ok. I will check that.

As for the Cpu sensor. I will try hooking my cpu fan though the mobo so it dosent go though the meter. Then ill try holding the temp meter in my hand when the power is on to see if it will read something. I still think it should read at least room temp if it worked at all though. I will mess around with it tonight when i get home from work.

Yup, I didn't look close enough to see that the wire coming from the meter had a male connector that was hiding. So maybe you could see how I was confused looking at 3 females. The logo works just dandy now! Thank you for your quick support!

As for my CPU meter... I doubt it will ever work. I held it in my had and got no temp. just a ---. After about 10 min or so trying to get anything out of it I tore back a tiny bit of the plastic and rubbed my thumb on it. I got a high followed by a beep. Then I got a low, then another high. It flickered a bit high and low before it didn't even do that anymore. I disconnected the speed controller to the cpu fan and put it back on my mobo till I get this fixed.

New problem. The meter is now "locked up". The clock/temp have stopped. I tried holding down the reset button and nothing happens. I also tried unplugging the computer and waiting 20 seconds. The fans and lights are still going though.

Ok.. I restarted my computer again and cycled the power. It seems to be working again (cpu temp still not reading though). the clock stopped at 00:07 last time so ill see how far it gets and if it happens again.

Hello Spawn,

It's obvious the meter is unstable. Go ahead and shoot service a email at service@nzxt.com so i'll have them send you a new working one. Sorry about the trouble

I haven't got a reply back from service yet but i noticed something else. If hold the power button for a few seconds "forced shutdown" during boot/post and i turn the comp back on my settings (clock/date) for the temp gauge reset. Anyone else have that problem?

The temp is resetting is definitely a battery error. If you want to try something before the new meter arrives, you can try to replace the battery.

Ill have to take a look when i get home from work. I have a few questions about the meter though.

Ok, so once i set the (Clock/Date) it should never reset right? Even if i unplug the computer and plug it back in?

Does the battery get recharged at all when my computer is on?

Does my power supply power the meter while my computer is on?

Thanks in ADV.

Yep. The clock should not be resetting, that's why the battery is there to keep the memory stored, much like your motherboard stores the stuff in your Bios. The Battery in the motherboard is actually the same as the meter.

Spawn,

I am having the same problems as you. I have a MSI K8t Neo, my cpu temp does not show up either. Also it resets after I power down and then power back up. but mine does not freeze. So I guess this question is directed towards NZXT_DOOD (thanks for all the help so far) does that mean I might be having battery issues also?

Doesnt hurt to change the battery.
