Hi there, I bought a blue Guardian case and was wondering what color lighting I should put in the inside? At first I thought blue, but that might be too much blue. Suggestions?

how about red?

Good Idea, I was thinking that too. What with the front of the case having those two red strips on the head, it'd match nicely. :)

I'm not so sure about red anymore, because I hear it looks sort of pink, and I deffinately do not want a pink interior. Ayone else experience this with red cathodes? I was thinking maybe orange would do the trick. Any suggestions?

i think if you put one red one on the top and bottom you should be fine. never done it though. oranage may look cool though....

Has anyone tried those LED tube lights? How are they for brightness and heat vs. a cathode tube?

how about one of these:

uses very little power and gives off no heat.

sort of expensive though (28 bucks), but looks cool

THose deffinately look cool, but I need something brighter, so thats why I was wondering if these LED tubes work better than Cathode Tubes. Anyone know?

The Cathode lights are definately brighter than the LED tubes, the cathodes are also much more easier to hide than the LED tubes..... My friend put red cathodes in his case and they dont look pink at all.... if they are close to any other color than red it would be orange but yeah...not pink...

good luck man

I went with RGB cathodes in my blue guardian - looks awesome. Adds a little variety in the color scheme.

I went with uv lighting because so many psu's come with reactive sleeving anyway i figured why not. Heres a web link to my guardian in ever constant addon stage here (http://www.geocities.com/the_ladinator/guardiancase.html)

What brand of UV cc's did you use? I'm planning on using UV in my next case but have read bad things about Logisys and Vantec cold cathodes.

The "UV kit" i bought had a couple of round cables and a couple of fans an Dual ccfl uv set of tubes. They are made by Vastech it says on the box, I dont think 1 tube would be good enough ,an i am thinking on a 3rd actually to make the motherboard area brighter, as UV tubes dont really cast light much jus make yer parts all glowy, so the more uv parts you put in the more reaction you'll get inside the case...hope that helps.

nod, i was planning on at least 2 long tubes, but a thought suddenly occured to me..

I wonder if 4 short tubes would be better?

They're prolly short enough (4") to be put across the bottom and tops of the case...

Anyone tried this before?

Does any one know how to put them in your Xbox i can find where you attach them????

Putting a 4 inch cathode[blue in color] behind the face really lit up the face slits as well as some light "leakage" in the usb an sound ports, an really lights up the air intake hole underneath. There is some light leakage [very minor] around the entire chrome plate on the face [cool affect by me, maybe not some]. So i think that if someone put in 4 of the 4 inch in the case it would probably light it up jus fine with less shadows in the case, because of easy placement of 4 light sources. The only drawback to 4 ccfl tubes is more wires an 2 boxes instead of 1 [converter/inverter boxes] to plug them into. They plug into a power supply on the computer, no idea if they work in a xbox, you could plug it into the comp an use it in the box , extend the wire to power maybe. Here is a look at the face of my case in the dark to show light from front air in take ....

cool.

i'm planning on getting uv sleeving and cable ties and uv pci slot and ram protectors for my next system, along with all uv cables. so the 4" lights sounds like it might work better :)

put one up by the power supply, one by the bottom back, one in front, and the other before the 5.25" drive bays :)
